Partner addition of Lutz Abel

Dr. Marc Röbke joins the EKK team as a partner!

As of 01/01/2025, our team will be strengthened by the renowned public procurement lawyer Dr. Marc Röbke at the partner level.

We are very pleased that, in Marc Röbke, we have been able to win over a colleague who is not only a pleasant person but also a professionally recognized and well-connected expert with whom we can drive the further development of the firm!

Dr. Marc Röbke comes from Lutz Abel, where he had been building up and heading the public procurement department in the firm's Berlin office since September 2020. Röbke is known in the market for his focus on advising in the local transport sector, where he most recently advised the transport company of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on regional rail procurement projects. In addition, he has also made a name for himself in representing public clients and bidders in digitization projects, including in the health and cultural sectors.

Further strengthening of the “Infrastructure” and “Digitization” areas of expertise

In both areas, Marc Röbke is deepening the advisory portfolio of EICHLER KERN KLEIN and is an ideal addition to the firm's existing focus:

Infrastructure has long been one of the main areas of expertise at EICHLER KERN KLEIN. In particular, Dr. Jochen Eichler and Oliver Kern are known for their expertise in the area of large (transport) infrastructure projects. Oliver Kern most recently as the toll mediation office of the BMDV and in the management of large and restructuring projects, Jochen Eichler particularly in the area of road infrastructure and rail transport projects. Together with Röbke's many years of market knowledge and industry experience, the practice of EICHLER KERN KLEIN will become even more powerful in these areas.

This also applies to the area of digitization and e-government. This area has been intensively developed by the law firm in recent years, with Dr. Benjamin Klein in particular advising clients at federal and state level as well as in the higher education sector, in addition to bidders from the start-up sector. Dr. Hannah Rubin has complemented the firm's genuine public procurement law advice with her top-class expertise in budgetary, state aid and public law, including advising SPRIND. Here, too, Marc Röbke's particular expertise in the field of digitization fits perfectly into the portfolio of EICHLER KERN KLEIN, complementing and strengthening existing structures.

Further growth planned

With the addition of Dr. Marc Röbke, EICHLER KERN KLEIN is consistently continuing the growth course of recent years and strengthening two core areas of expertise: infrastructure and digitization. The law firm now has five partners and six (senior) associates, a total of eleven professionals. Further new hires at the (senior) associate level are planned for this year. In the medium term, the firm plans to grow to 15 professionals.
